VENUE COMPARISON
New York Comedy Club East Village and NYCC Upper West Side are the downtown and uptown expressions of one of New York's most consistently excellent comedy operations. The East Village location at 85 East 4th Street thrives on the neighborhood's creative energy — the crowds are younger, the shows run later, and there's often an electric, anything-goes quality to the lineups. The Upper West Side room at 236 West 78th Street has a more settled, community feel — a place where regulars come back week after week because they trust the quality. Both rooms regularly feature comics you'd pay significantly more to see at NYC's most famous clubs. The East Village is where NYCC flexes its booking muscle. The UWS is where it proves great comedy doesn't have to be a downtown-only affair.
